British Rafting’s Matlock Race 2025.
- Price : with volunteer - £100, without volunteer - £140
- Dates : 26th / 27th April
- Race Location : Matlock Slalom Site, Derbyshire, England
- Parking : Artists Corner Car Park (5min paddle / walk downstream from the car park)
- Age restrictions : 12+ (any boats with an U14 will require a minimum of 1 adult (18+)
All volunteers will be expected to help across all 4 races in a variety of judging roles, from start/finisher to gate judging. Training can be provided where required. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers.
A captains email will be sent out once bookings close confirming the race schedule and logistics.
You should provide your own safety equipment, however paddles can be provided on request. Rafts will be provided for all teams.
British Rafting 2025 Race Rules
- Racing will be in accordance with IRF Race Rules (unless otherwise stated) with any variations to these rules confirmed at morning briefings.
- Racing will be in Sprint, Head-to-Head, Slalom and Downriver.
- Races may not be done in IRF race order.
- Racing will be held across 2 categories, Open Men & Open Women.
- Racing will be in R4 format.
- All entries must be made through the Paddle UK booking portal. No late entries will be accepted.
- Teams must provide full details for each team member when booking.
- Members should contact Paddle UK or their club for their Paddle UK membership number if not known.

- Please note that by entering this event all participants agree to the Participant Agreement
There may be photographers on site throughout the weekend, with all photos & videos being published on social media. If you do not wish for your photo to go on social media, please let us know during event registration.
